What is this lawsuit about?

This is an overtime class action under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), 29 U.S.C. § 201 et seq. It is alleged that hourly employees were for Hinds County School District were not paid for all the hours that they were clocked in and working, and that they were also suffered or permitted to work off the clock. For this reason, it is alleged that they were routinely deprived of pay to which they were entitled, including overtime.
